Cascara Tea Coffee Cherry Tea
Cascara tea is made from the dried coffee cherry or peel (cascara means ‘peel’ in Spanish). The coffee fruit is processed in the dry/natural method which allows the whole fruit to dry together preserving all of the fruit’s sweet and complex flavors. Once dried, the whole fruit rests for a month and then the cascara is carefully separated from the coffee seeds/beans. The cascara is then aged for at least six months allowing the concentrated naturals sugars, vitamins and antioxidants to create a delicious tea. This tea has about one-fourth of the caffeine found in a regular cup of coffee.
