Finca La Loma is one of three family farms managed by the innovative Producer Rodrigo Sanchez and his wife Claudia. La Loma’s 12 hectares sit on the crest of a hill with the wet mill at the top and the coffee plantation on the slopes below. In addition to the mill, the Sanchez’s have built an open air cupping lab at La Loma that is one of the most spectacular labs in the industry.
The La Loma farm has been in the family since 2011 and is planted with a mix of Varietals including Caturra, Bourbon, Pacamara, and Geisha. We visited the farm in April and spent five days walking the land and cupping over 80 microlots to pick out our favorite.
Our 100% Caturra Lot is picked based on Briz content and consists of 10 total bags.
