Hidden in the Westernmost slopes of the world renowned growing regions of Tarrazu lies the little farm that could. Focused solely on growing and processing the most wild and meticulous naturally processed coffee out there, the Mora Family is credited with being one of the pioneers of the micro mill revolution in Costa Rica.

Our specific La Laguna lot is located on one of the highest slopes on the Mora’s 5 hectare farm, in a perfect microclimate for growing coffee and with views of the Pacific Ocean in the distance.  Once the hand-picked ripe cherries are harvested, they are placed in sealed fermentation tanks for 45-60 hours and then moved to raised drying beds where the cherries are turned multiple times per day for approximately three weeks.  After the cherries are done drying, they are taken out of the sun and rested in the Mora’s bodega for a few more weeks and then dry milled and put on a boat destined for the port of Oakland. We have one bag and one bag only of this delicious lot for 2023.
