PEOPLE MAKE THE PLACE–MEET JARED…OUR NEW SOUS CHEF

You could say that Jared was born into the industry. Growing up in Hollister, Jared was raised on an apricot farm and has early memories of riding the family tractor and picking in the early morning hours. Throughout the years, Jared has done a little bit of everything including catering work, bartending, and Tom Cruise Stunt Double (ok…the last one is not true, haha).

Over the last two and a half years at Old Soul, Jared has worked his way up from line cook, to lead cook, and recently was promoted to Sous Chef for the entire company.

Most days, you can find Jared at our Original Alley location drinking espresso and making sure all things food and catering are running without a hitch at all four of our locations.

On the one day off we give Jared every 6 months, you can be sure he’s hopping into his car and heading to Bodega Coast with his beautiful wife, April, and his beloved Golden Retriever, Red Bear.
