Second Saturday at The Weatherstone, March 12, 2022, will feature photography by Award-Winning Independent Documentary Photographer and Multimedia Journalist, Andri Tambunan

We are pleased to welcome Andri Tambunan to Old Soul at The Weatherstone as our Second Saturday featured photographer.  Andri will host a reception on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 5 to 7 pm.  His photography exhibition, titled “COVID Chronicle”, will be available to view until April 9.  The exhibition is a visual documentation of the impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on individuals, families, graduates, Asian American voters, and minority-owned businesses in Sacramento, CA.  The walls at The Weatherstone will be divided into 5 separate panels with a total of 40 photos being displayed:

  1. Taped Off – Photos of Deserted Playgrounds
  2. 6 Feet Apart – Portraits of individuals and families during Shelter in Place mandate
  3. My Voice Matters – Portraits of Asian American Voters
  4. COVID Class of 2020 – Portraits of Graduates
  5. In the Shadows – Portraits of minority and women-owned business owners devastated by the pandemic and mandated closures

Andri Tambunan is an award-winning independent documentary photographer and multimedia journalist.  After working 10 years in Indonesia, Andri is now based in Sacramento, CA.  His photographs have been published in many distinguished news publications, selected for inclusion to the Library of Congress Permanent Photography Collection in Washington, DC, and received recognitions from the Pictures of the Year International (POYi) Emerging Vision Incentive, Reminders Project Asian Photographers Grant, PhotoPhilanthropy Activist Awards, and Open Society Foundation Engagement Audience Grant.

Andri has an extensive experience in covering challenging assignments including breaking news, portraiture, editorial, travel, corporate, and commercial.  Lastly, he is also a videographer, drone pilot, curator, and social media consultant.
